Lycos is an Oldenburg stallion by the famous Landor S and out of a Zeus mother. Landor S, by Landadel/Landgraf/Ladykiller was Champion of the Bundeschampionjat at Warendorf, making him Champion - Horse of Sports of the year in 1997. Landor S produced both "Brilliant" and "Elite" offspring, which have sold for record prices at auction. His son, Lycos, was Landesmeister Champion as a five year old, before being imported to America. Zeus was a 16.3 hand stallion with many offspring competing overseas in show jumping. Their winnings maintain him as one of the Top Ten Jumping Sires in Europe. As a 9-time champion of his age group, and with the earnings of his offspring totaling almost 4 million DM, in Germany alone, Zeus is known as one of the best producers of jumpers the world has ever seen. Tinka's Boy, a Zeus Grandson who was second at the 2000 World Cup at Las Vegas. Lycos has been showing in the U.S. since being imported for Europe in 2005. He is successful in the 1.45 m classes and continues to show more scope as he matures. He is extremely athletic and bloody and is making an excellent stud to pass on those qualities. He currently has offspring showing successfully in Europe.
