Mr Friedrich Wilhelm Luetkemeier has bred, selected, bought and sold outstanding German Showjumping horses for over 30 years.

He started his equine career as a young boy and showed up with great talent as a rider in the jumping ring. As he was born in the region of Germany where famous "Pilot" was born, he got knowledge about the secrets of sport horse breeding and felt that he should start a breeding program. After finishing school, he first studied business administration at the university of Paderborn. During his university years, he successfully showed young jumpers up to the level of the German Young Horse Championships. He also won a national Grand Prix and was part of a German Nations Cup Team.

Outstanding Showjumpers are his passion, and this passion you impressively see in the success of his breeding program. He bred the Champion of the German Young Horse Championship who is now winning international Grand Prixs. Even the biggest horse keeper and owner of the world, Paul Schockemoehle, couldn't get that done.

Mr. Luetkemeier has a unique talent for the detection of outstanding showjumper prospects. In the following you find a list of some of the horses Mr. Luetkemeier bred, sold or selected for showjumping on highest international level.

Calvaro with Martin Dopazo (Argentina) competed at the Olympic Games twice.

Montemaredo La Silla and Alfonso Romo represented the Mexican State on many international shows.

Pilot's Showtime and Nick Skelton from Great Britain also went to the Olympics.

Whisper Grey and Jeff McVean (AUS) were also very successful in the international tournaments.

The bay Holstein Stallion Quaprice Bois Margot with Julian Eppaillard showed unbelievable abilities but tragically died far too early. His offspring seem to inherit their father's quality.

Roofs and Jan Tops from the Netherlands impressed at the Olympic Games and the World Championships.

With Operette La Silla, Jan Tops was winner in the World Cup and took part in the World Championship very successfully.

From Germany to Switzerland went Chianti, who competed with Willi Melliger and Philipp Guerdat.

In Stockholm 1990, the famous Irish Rider Eddie Macken showed Welfenkrone who won lots of top level Grand Prixs.

The Dutch rider Leopold van Asten was constantly successful with the grey mare VDL Escape.

The wonderful stallion Lazio was National Showjumping Champion when he was just 5 years with unbelievble scorings. Later, he won lots of international Grand Prixs with his rider Mikail Safronov for Russia.

Heyman and Flower with John Withaker won in many Grand Prixs, at the CHIO Aachen and competed in the World Championships.

The British Lionel Dunning won tons of prices with his horse On a Promise.

Mr. Luetkmeier is not the only one in his family in the horse business. His wife, Gina Cappellmann Lutkemeier has many top dressage championships to her name. Their daughter, Fabienne is current reigning European Young Rider Champion and recently broke a world record in dressage.

Their farm in Paderborn is home to 125-150 breeding and riding horses for showjumping and dressage.
